An Extraordinary Lady

The Beginnings

Carole McCormack was born and grew up in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and never strayed far from those roots.  The beaches and ocean were 'home'.

The Early Years

Carole graduated from the Yale School of Nursing and spent her early career at Mass General.  She went on to be a co-founder of a software company that ultimately became part of Dun & Bradstreet.  She often said 'My best education was on the street and working with imaginative people.

Carole married Arthur Esch at Thanksgiving in 1983, at their home, Rio Chico, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.  More than 100 friends came from around the globe for 'wedding week' featuring cruises parties, and football games.

The Partnership

Carole became a seriel entrepreneur, co-founding Bank2000, starting the R-Club for Concorde travelers, launching the wildly successful Channel 10 television service, and authoring a book on the 500 Best Small Hotels -- a project Carole delighted in researching.  With all the activity she never lost sight of her most important role -- Matriarch!

Carole McCormack Esch went to heaven on 24 October 2016.  She is missed by all!
